Within our club we have approximately 125 dedicated volunteers that work together to ensure that our section of the Bruce Trail can be enjoyed by everyone.

Director Positions Currently Open

Volunteer Director
The Volunteer Director promotes and coordinates the use of volunteers throughout the Club, and facilitates  the recruiting, training and recognition of all volunteers in the Club. For detailed job description check this link

Hike Director
Responsible for managing hiking activities, creating the hike schedule, publishing the schedule with our Communications Team support and recruiting new hike leaders as required with the assistance of our Volunteer Director. Your team will include existing hike leaders, a Trail Angel Team leader, and a Badge Coordinator.

Vice President
Assists the President, other Board Directors, and BTC Teams as required. The VP initiates projects that will help us achieve our goals more effectively. We need a leader who enjoys collaboration across multiple teams.

Support Open Positions
Is a director role not for you? You can still help us volunteering on a Support Team. We’re looking for volunteers to join us in the following roles:

  1. Events and Fundraising Committee Member
  2. Hike Team Member
  3. Communications Team Member
  4. Newsletter Coordinator
  5. Advertising Coordinator
  6. Biodiversity Team Member

Become a member of the Bruce Trail Conservancy 

By becoming a member of the BTC, you are helping to secure a Conservation Corridor through the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Your fees help the BTC achieve its goal of establishing a continuous habitat for rare flora and fauna, purify Escarpment waterways, clean our air, allow forests to thrive and house the Bruce Trail, a 900 km. footpath that offers many hiking options.
